What is the Rats biggest concert in England ever?

Hello,

Just out of curiosity, I wondered what is the Rats' biggest ever UK show. I'm not including festivals or support slots they may have done. I'm talking a concert where they put tickets on sale in a venue. What is the biggest venue they've ever played in England? I'm just curious. I wondered if anybody might now

Not sure about this but perhaps either the London Rainbow in 1978/79/80 or one of their Hammersmith Odeon appearances around the same time. Some cursory research suggests both of these venues were two of the biggest in the 1970s/80's. Would have accommodated a few thousand more than most other venues without being too large, tops maybe about 5,OOO.

You can consult the known tour dates but apart from festivals it's the standard indoor venues up and down England in this case. There was no big 'if you build it they will come' type standalone Rats gig even in their heyday, surprisingly. Well unless you include Leopardstown/leixlip in Ireland.

That's interesting - thank you. I had wondered what their largest headline (non- festival) gig has been. I'd love to see them at Hammersmith Odeon. I wasn't here the first time around - and I'd love to see them there.
