Phil Lynott's mum

I came accross this lovely article about Phil Lynott's mum, Philomena in a local newspaper. It is 21 years since Phil died, at the young age of 36.
A guy from Berwick, called Steve is a massive fan and does a Lynott tribute act. Earlier this year, he visited Lynott's grave in Dublin's St Fintan's cemetry.
While he was there, Lynott's mum turned up. After a chat, she invited him home for tea. She still keeps Phil's bedroom as a special place, with gold discs, photographs and memorabillia. Imagine Steve's delight when he was invited to play Phil's bass guitar.
Philomena is actively involved in charity and runs the Roisin Dubh Trust, an organisation which helps to raise money for unknown musicians and recovering drug addicts. In 2005, she reunited the remaining members of Thin Lizzy in Dublin and there was another in 2006.
Steve has actually been invited to take part in the next one.
I think she must be a special lady, keeping her son's memory alive. through helping others.
Good luck to her.
All Thin Lizzy fans should go to
