Just go to http://www.pangeaday.org/ It is a worldwide event. Bob will be live on the web and also on satellite TV. I am on their mailing list, so as soon as I find times I will let you all know.
"Bob Geldof is the musician, mastermind, and activist behind Live Aid and Live 8. As leader of the Boomtown Rats, he had a string of UK hits in the late 1970s; in the '80s, he assembled his musician friends in aid of African famine victims, raising millions of dollars and inspiring a new wave of celebrity activism. On Pangea Day, he and Dave Stewart will sing the Boomtown Rats' classic This Is the World Calling.
Just got this email. I presume they will be in London, though LA is hosting as well. Maybe info can confirm for me? You can get your free ticket on www.pangeaday.org London location is Somerset House They are not quite right with the "Boomtown Rats Classic" though are they?
I now THINK that Bob is presenting and singing live from LA. Dave Stewart is definitely singing in LA and as Bob is in Nashville 2 days before, that would makesense.
Bob will be performing and singing from LA. Starts 11am PDT, which is 19.00 BST Broadcast lasts 4 hours. Live on SKy Indie or on www.pangeaday.org I dont think I will find out any more.
