Marilyn Manson is my favorite band, and The Boomtown Rats are up there. I also enjoy Danny Elfman, David Bowie, Ozzy Osbourne, Eminem, Elton John, George Michael, Pink Floyd, VNV Nation, solo Geldof material, lots of 80s music, certain movie soundtracks, and other various songs of pretty much all genres except country. (this is also written out in my profile)
The Rats and BG, U2, Queen, Franz Ferdinand, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, REM, Elton John, Bowie, Gabrielle, Cher, Tina Turner, Katie Melua, Bon Jovi, 80's, punk rock and loads more
I'm a big U2 fan and, apart from that I really like The Thrills, Damien Rice, Thin Lizzy, Meat Loaf, Peter Gabriel, Keane and the Darkness. With Bob's music I tend to listen to his solo stuff more than the Rats stuff but I do listen to that as well.
Just to hack you off. We are listening to the 6 re-releases as I am typing this message. We have recieved promo copies from Universal today (no artwork yet).
There is a competition to win the first album (Boomtown Rats) on the website.
The Clash, Green Day, U2, McFly (i'm not joking), Pearl Jam (earlier stuff better), Guns N' Roses are ok, Razorlight are good although i own non of their music.... that's about it really
I'm only 20 so at the moment am really into stuff like the killers, hope of the states, libertines, babyshambles, kasabian, hot hot heat, Paddy Casey, Radiohead. Older stuff like the kinks, Queen, rolling stones, smiths, velvet underground, donovan, bruce springsteen, paul simon, bob dylan, johnny cash and loads and loads more and ofcourse cant forget Woody Gutherie, boomtown rats are named after one of his stories after all
Well, apart from Bob Geldof & the Boomtown Rats...
...Toy Dolls, Waterboys/World Party, They Might Be Giants, Jim Bob & Carter USM, REM, XTC/Dukes of Stratosphear, Squeeze, Sex Pistols/PiL, Midnight Oil, ELO, The Men They Couldn't Hang, Curve, Sisters of Mercy, Fields of The Nephilim, Mission, Merry Thoughts, Peter Gabriel/Genesis, Peter & the Test Tube Babies, Macc Lads, Frank Black & the Pixies, Marilyn Mansun, Oasis, Blur, Gary Numan/Tubeway Army & a few hundred others...

After Jilted John's (Graham Fellows) debut album "True Love Stories" bombed, he was dropped by EMI. He appeared for a while in Coronation Street as Les Charlton in 1982, reprising the walk on role he'd done in 1978 in trying to chat up the baboon faced Gail Tisley.
He tried making a musical comeback under his own name with a few soppy sounding records in the late 1980s, but his future lay in his John Shuttleworth act - which is apparantly a cult comic classic ironic ****-take of the world of the over-the-hill wannabe star still convinced he's gonna make it, but personally I think is about as entertaining as a bowl of diarrhoea.

Marilyn Manson is the lead singer's name (his real name's Brian Warner), but it's also the name of his band consisting of members Madonna Wayne Gacy (keyboards), Ginger Fish (drums), and Tim Skold (bass guitar).

Currently listening to The Killers & George Michael, solo.
Cazzy - I've only heard one song of My Chemical Romance and wasn't a huge fan of it. I liked the video (forgot the song's title); the band's "getup" is kinda cool but kinda average sounding IMO. Saw them sing that same song live on...the MTV awards I think?...and...wasn't impressed with that either.
I love a band that can sing/play instruments just as well live as it does in an album. Another good thing about the BTR...
youv probably heard im not ok.in the video theyr at a school and words flash up on the screen like 'if you ever felt...wrong' that sort of thing.helena is in a church and ghost of you is the army.
I totally forgot to mention the pogues.an amazing band,my mates going to see them but only cos she likes the support bandi was shocked that they were touring as shane's kinda lost it.
Bernie Torme!
