Liz and myself have just been to all of the warm up gigs and the big one in Blackpool and we can safely say that the Rats are back. The new guys,Pete and Darren have fitted in superbly and Simon and Garry have proven once again the great driving force. It was hard to imagine before hand what was going to happen but having now witnessed from the back of the room the reaction at Blackpool in front of approximately 2000 or more people---believe me---'THE RATS ARE BACK'---We have followed them all whatever they have done from the start but this is what it was all about to me---The '77 sound is back better than ever---Bring on the new album and tour --havent yet heard a bad report--ask Argee,Chris or anyone that has been there---and GET TO THE GIGS--you honestly wont be dissapointed---Wes,Liz x

I can agree with that. It was great to meet up with some fellow forum members, and meet those who are bigger fans than me! And it was also great to meet the band. Not only Simon and Garry, but also Peter and Darren who enthusiatism shone through. Having participated at a distance (though I was in front row @ Hamm Odeon once) when I saw the Rats back in the late 70s/early 80s it was great to get up close.
Alongside seeing an embroyonic Pulp back in 1992 at the Garage (though they had been knocking around for 10 years), the night at the 100 club ranks as one of the highlights of my concert going in the last 30 years.
Hi all i was at the 100 Club and they ROCKED. It was good to see the band full of energy with a great delivery to all the songs played on the set. Hats off to Pete who not only delivered but help bring new life and energy with such a fresh outlook to the band. Who needs that chap called Bob he was only there for the fame.
What is the difference between Bono and Sir Bob? Bono never forgot that it is the Band & Fans that put him where they are today.
