My two top all-around favorites so far would have to be Gods and Monsters and L.I.E.. and being a 'cinephile,' there are a lot that I love...
Edward Scissorhands Beetlejuice The Nightmare Before Christmas Batman Returns The Rocky Horror Picture Show The Mind Snatchers The Dead Zone King of New York Brainstorm The Deer Hunter The Prophecy Prick Up Your Ears Bram Stoker's Dracula Track 29 Sid & Nancy Baxter The Wall (of course ) Tommy Cabaret A Clockwork Orange The Island of Dr. Moreau Willard Dead Man The Rivers Edge The Orkly Kid Rubin & Ed Bartleby What Happened Was... Batman Forever The Mask The Cable Guy Labyrinth Milo & Otis Unico and the Island of Magic The Elephant Man Eraserhead Chaplin White Palace The Tune
please, don't be intimidated by this list list as many or as few as you like
rocky horror picture show (well...this has gotta be my favorite...big Tim Curry fan ever since I first saw this...indirectly it got me to artschool)
The Wall (few filmes like this one has been made...Gerald Scarfe's animations are brilliant, absolutely breathtaking...still can't watch the scene where Pink shaves)
Suicide Kings (christopher walken in one of his best roles ever)
Fyra nyanser av brunt or Four shades of brown (this is a swedish movie from last year..it should have been nominated for an Oscar instead of that crap movie As in heaven that actually was nominated... hopefully it would have won, it deserves it. The movie was made by a very famous swedish comedygroup, but they've never done anything as serious as this before..It's extremly dark... can I give an example? I'll take the liberty... A man who is very selfobsessed is trying to get a job, so he goes to a bank and tries to get the job. well, he doesn't get it, when he leaves they tell him they will call him. Of course they don't, and at his weekly group-therapysession he tells the others about it. He says that they said they would call, and he hasn't left the house all week incase they would call, even got a answering machine. He's totally clueless and really belives they would call, but all the others in the group gets it and are trying very hard to not laugh at him..but then he suddenly says "should it be this hard to find a place for myself? Because I do want a place in life. Is there any room for a man like me?"
sounds messy when I tell it, but I promise you, this is one of the most powerfull scenes ever, the director throws you from laughing so hard at his attempts to get a job, then suddenly he says something like that...fantastic. So...go get it! it's a movie hollywood couldn't even dream of making...
My favorite movies are The Wall, Friday the 13th(all), A Nightmare on Elm Street (all), The Outsiders, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Saw, Jeepers Creepers(1+2), The Ring(1+2), Halloween, Final Destination, The Grudge(it was kinda piontless, but it was ok), Corky Romano, White Chicks, The Day After Tomorrow, Mystic River, Pumpkinhead 2, and Freddy Vs. Jason(that was allright to). Oh, and The Virgin Suicides was good to.
Billy Elliot LOTR The Virgin Suicide Troy Crazy/beautyful Pride and prejuice Bram Stockers Dracula (And a Disney Favorite) The little Mermaid I can't think of enyone else right now, but I will add more later

I saw a great movie a few days ago, to add to my (long) list of favorite films - The Crying Game. Great acting, unique plot. Stephen Rae (another Irishman...) was great, as was the rest of the main cast. See it if you haven't
I think I have seen The Rocky Horror Picture before, but I can't remember it. But since many of you think it is so good, maybee I should see it again sometime.
