...unless you watched the USA's coverage of the event. It was a complete mess. It never showed anything from Rome, Cornwall, or Moscow except for a one minute montag, and that was pitiful at best. It showed Berlin twice, Barrie once, Paris once, Tokyo once, and Johannesburg once. Besides this, a few acts were in the same montag as above. Philadelphia and London dominated the telecast.
And most of this coverage was focused on up and coming artists. I know the idea is to raise awareness and to get people to watch, but I was hoping to see a-ha, Duran Duran, Deep Purple, The Cure, Crosby Stills & Nash, Def Leppard, Neil Young, etc...and I supposed that in 8 hours more acts could've been covered.
But of course I forgot to add in commercials, explanations of the event, blah blah blah.
But I was still disappointed with coverage - minus Pink Floyd, which would've been perfect if they hadn't cut to commercial in the middle of the second solo.
How did other worldwide coverage go (besides MTV and VH1?)
