We have had a few emails enquiring if the Geldof In Africa TV series on the BBC is going to be available on DVD or video. Bob is taking a well earned break at the moment and therefore we have not been able to find the answer to this question.
But there is a very good website BBC Africa Lives which gives details of the series and has a special message board containing all sorts of views on the series. The link to this is: http://www.bbc.co.uk/africalives/features/geldof.shtml
I have looked on the BBC shop website, and as yet have not found any mention of a DVD or video. But my guess is that it will be available at some stage in the future.
Well I took it upon myself to write to the BBC and ask them if they had any plans to produce the series on DVD. This was their response - so get writing people:
Thank you for your enquiry regarding 'Geldof in Africa'.
I was pleased to read of your enjoyment of the series. At present there are no plans for a DVD. However, it is possible to recommend BBC productions for release by writing to our commercial arm, BBC Worldwide, as follows:

Unfortunately 'Geldof in Africa' is not currently available on DVD through BBC Shop and we are unaware of any plans to release this title in the near future.
