Seems like Gerry has dragged himself away from the dogs and the owls and made a record.

You can listen to his solo guitar arrangement of Lennon & McCartney's "Eleanor Rigby" on the site.  It's pretty good!

Gerry entered the Glastonbury emerging talent competition -  but sadly did not make the final 12.

Co-founder of The Boomtown Rats and considered one of the most innovative guitarists to come out of the Punk / New Wave era, Gerry Cott announces the imminent release of a solo guitar album entitled Urban Soundscapes - solo acoustic guitar

With a nod to the concept of how David Hockney relates his human experiences to his paintings, Cott has written an album of guitar music based on his travels through urban landscapes worldwide. Urban Soundscapes is a mix of cool soundscapes, unique guitar technique and a signature sound. Anybody interested in 21st century cool, stand alone guitar please stand up!

Cott says "I describe URBAN SOUNDSCAPES as a fusion guitar music project - big voice amplified acoustic in nature, it has structure to it, with backdrops from jazz, folk, latin, blues and other idioms."
