Sad death of Bob's father

Some of us knew about this last night, but were holding off posting. But the nationals are carrying it now too.

I know you will all feel for the whole family and our thoughts will be with them on Tuesday.

Yes, so sad.  Our prayers and thoughts are with Bob and his entire family.  His father seemed like a real nice gent who had a knack for story telling and a big fan of magic tricks.

My condolences, Bob.

Hugs, Franny

Does anyone have an address for fans to send Bob mail?  I would like to send my condolences via a card?
Thanks for your assistance.

This sad news will make the release of Bobs album poignant but I suppose music must take a back seat . There are more important matters in life.

I hope he sings Walking Back to Happines on the tour. It will be very difficult, but a fitting tribute to his dad.

Wonder if Bono will dedicate "Moment of Surrender" to Bob Snr in Vienna Tonight!

Was thinking of Bob today. Just seen this article. Is it just me or was the press a little ott with the photgraphs. Though I aspire to be a photographer I would never feel comfortable in photographing such a private and personal moment.

I feel uncomfortable just looking at it.

I'd imagine they were at a distance using long range lens. However it is still too much in my opinion. Vultures like that give decent journalists and photographers a bad name. I'm going to forward that link to a professional photographer I know and see what his opinion is on this.

Thanks Dale. That was more respectful.
