Blind Faith or Stupidity?

Hi- I'm not unrealistic about Geldof's solo talent but because of my long lasting love for The Boomtown Rats and continued interest in his music I shall just buy the album without any consideration of reviews or potential disappointment with a single. Geldof is one of a handful of artists that command my loyalty as it's an emotional continuation with the past and also a new chapter. I'm curious to know will other fans just buy it  or will you maybe download the tracks the critics say to download as the better tracks?. Hey the Geldof glass is half full!

Since A Tonic For The Troops changed my music life I will but Bobs new cd.I love Bobs music and I will play the cd until my wife tells me enough is enough.Bobs solo stuff(along with In The Long Grass) deserves more credit than it will ever get.Me,I cannot get enough.

I'm quite happy to buy it blind, knowing nothing about it at all.  biggrin If the songs are crap I'll just enjoy the fact he's singing.  That's probably worsewink

Eventually I will buy it as I buy anything associated with the Rats (more fool me).  Well almost anything.  I have the Gung~Ho single & album, the Gerry Cott singles, all the Geldof singles/albums [the albums twice] plus all the Band Aid variants (7"/12"/VHS, Band Aid 20).  I even bought a 3CD set of Kirsty MacColl for You Caught Me Out.  However given I didn't buy Cott's CD maybe I'm wiseing up smile (perhaps I should say I haven't bought it yet)

If it is on Spotify I'll have a listen, but I won't be making an order at HMV for it.
