HI just seeing the postings about the ultimate live sets and Jules saying how good the Rats looked on the dvd, about a year ago I purchased a dvd projector cos I'm a big movie fan. For techies these things basically project a very large image on to a wall or screen which will make a 50 inch plasma tv look tiny in comparison. You can get 1080p high def versions as well as the normal 720p. So I've used it to watch the Hammersmith/ Dominion theatre shows and the hugh screen makes it more like being there and well as just watching huge, high quality projections of the normal videos. Size does matter and its great for watching films on dvd and watching live dvds of various bands when they're blown up to a much larger size than a 50 inch tv. So the Rats are looking even better!
Thanks for inviting everyone around to your house to watch it on your big screen...
I bought it because I think movies look better on a big screen- one is more immersed in the action and the picture quality is excellent for watching dvds. You can buy them for anything between £500 to £900 but I only use it for watching films and concerts. You don't want a six foot Richard and Judy or Jeremy kyle on your wall. You of course can also project computer games or the internet as well but I'm more an old fashioned film nut.
