Derek - Bob's dad died just recently so maybe he needs time to get over that properly. I consider myself a big fan but I don't feel impatient. Autumn is a nice time of the year to release a record but it seems its not gonna be. Maybe you'll be banging your head on the wall when you actually hear the album but I doubt that. PS I kinda like the lack of communication and sense of mystery- Geldof obviously doesn't tweet his every thought which is fine by me. When it comes it comes.
Bob can delay the album all he wants,just tell me why is all I am asking.
That's a very fair comment. I suppose if there were thousands of people clamouring for a new record from him then there would be a bit more proactive communication from his side. Despite the fact that I've bought everthing by the Rats often more than once- cd, vinyl etc and all his solo albums and singles and the anthology for all the extras I was missing I don't feel peed off or disappointed. As Lou Reed sang once "hes never early/ he's always late/ one thing you learn is you always gotta wait" or along those lines anyway.
