um....well, do you mean that the pic is on the album cover? cause I've got the vinylversion, but it's not on it..maybe it's on the new cds, no idea..


but I would however think that it was taken around tonic for the troops, does seem like a fitting promopic for rattrap doesn't it

Yep, I just had a look at my 'Loudmouth' booklet and I can see where the pic came from. It's also featured on the second-last page of the colour photo section in "Is That It", with the caption: San Fransisco, 1978. That's when "Rat Trap" reached No. 1 on the British charts, "Tonic For The Troops" was released with Bob and Fingers doing a 'short promotional tour' in the US - designed mainly to get support for the album and the group, espescially after the 'dead rat' stunt that accompanied the release of their first album - before their first US tour.


[The 'dead rat' stunt was the idea of the promo guy of the band's record company at the time. A dead rat preserved in formaldehyde and wrapped in a plastic bag with "The Rats are Coming" written on it, was sent to every DJ in the country.  Needless to say, the Boomtown Rats just weren't meant to make it in the US.]
