Always find this song playing in my head when the weather is freezing cold as in the last few weeks and today!

Has anyone else experienced this too!

I'm stuck on 'Oh the weather outside is frightful.....etc etc' - hope that mentioning this doesn't cause others to get it stuck in their head for days on end too. Believe me, it soon gets irritating.

Wind Chill Factor Minus Zero is one of those Rats tracks that I needed a few years to realise just how good it is. Was never a favourite when the album came out, but I really rate it now. Similar experiences with Hurt Hurts, I Can Make It If You Can and Tonight. Wasn't that I didn't like them at the time, more that I now think they're truly great tracks.

Anyone else got any 'change of heart' tracks?

I actually heard Let It Snow in the middle of a heavy snowstorm in Dublin a few weeks ago- it was almost  blizzard conditions and the song was blazing from a shopping centre and people were laughing at the improbability of it. The say be careful what you wish for.

Change of heart tracks? Not really. I've generally liked almost all of the Boomtown Rats materiel. When Mondo Bongo and V Deep came out I was happy enough with both albums- I though their more experimental direction was something to be admired and that's what artists do, at the risk of sounding pretentious!

Weakest Rats songs for me are Whitehall 1212 and Precious Time a b -side. The extra on In The Long Grass Shes Not The Best is just so short, about thirty seconds that it seems pointless.

I love the sound of Tonight wish it got some more airplay back in the day-" You scratch my back and I'll claw yours" - brilliant song and lyrics.

Wind Chill Factor should have been released as a 3rd single.I would have released Someones Looking At You as a second single instead of Diamond Smiles.Love this song.

Just thinking that Keep It Up might have made a good single too- its sort of about sex so people should have got the connection! But maybe it might have been banned then!

Wind Chill Factor is very good but it sounds more like an album track to me, but then we all have our own ideas about what should be a single. Not sure how either the band or the record company makes the final decision - do they vote or what!

I agree Someone's looking at you should have followed Mondays and I think would have gone to 3 or 2.

After that, I would have gone with Having my picture taken as single 3.

WCFMZ is great but not obvious single material as takes time to get going (which adds to the song's appeal) and not sure how that would have come across on the radio.

Here we all are 5 years ago, being consistent! As Bob would say, 'What's changed, nothing!'

Arrgee must have been absent, putting anti-freeze in the Panda, a car that can't 'bear' the cold smile

As with the initial post I often sing this in my head when there's a cold wind.  There were a few decent songs on The Fine Art. Along with this one and the obvious 3 hits, there was Keep it Up, Something Happened Today and Having My Picture Taken.  Someone Looking at You still remains one of my favourite Rats songs.
