I haven't met many irish people but the ones i have met have talked a lot.
.....and very amusing they have been to listen to too.......
this is just from my own observation, nothing i have read and nothing anyone has said to me, just from my own experience.....
i also find some irish to talk really quickly....... like a lot of foreigners seem to talk very quickly, the spanish and greeks for example seem to talk really fast..............
so how come this is? are english people a lot slower in some way than other nationalities?
(hopes noone feels offended by this observation, i think the irish accent is lovely to listen to, provided i can understand what is being said)
One of the nicest, most soothing voices i think i have ever heard was an irish lady that taught us the course; Introduction to Counselling skills.
She put us through a light state of meditation as it is advised that you 'empty your mind' when getting ready to help/counsel someone.
The tension eased from my mind and body as her soft, gentle voice soothed away all my anxieties of the day. Such a warm voice and so calming. Wonderful.
