There's a big photo of Bob in The Times today.


Some "expert" has named him as one of the ten greatest "dandies" of today. There's a definition/explanation of what that means too. 


Seems as if the scruffy look is open to interpretation............


Nice pictures guys! And Mrs Rat Singer has 2065?!!!! Where do you keep them? Do you have them in chronological order or what?

well, now I have 2253 pics. (VAT included. VAT means the pics I dowloaded twice - sometimes it happens:) they're on the computer but I have them on a CD too. there's no chronological order or something, they're in 10-12 directories (I never counted the directories). about half of the pics are from happyfanclub site. and I name all of the pics. they have funny titles...  


on the websites recommended by Reka there are lots of new pics. more stuff to download... so 2253 is just a passing phase...

"that girl" was Paula Yates, Bob's girlfriend at the time, and to become his wife and mother if his three children. I guess she was guarding her territory

yes he was very good looking.iv got loads of pix of him on my books (my science folder is covered in them its great) my wall (iv got one of the huge under the influence ones up their) in fact he's even on my bag, in a rat trap.i'm looking for a good one to put on my guitar bag alongside my 'vans-off the wall' skateboard and 'this machine kills fascists' guitar.i feel quite hyper active now.

That wasn't a piece of paper it was a photo for Bob to sign. I was holding it in an envelope. It was the earlier photo of him with me, the one I have as my avatar.

Those photos backstage are after the show, so I guess Vince was a little too hot with his sweaty string vest on! Either that he took it off for the photo so I didn't have to suffer it

ROFL!  I don't normally check the picture thread, so I didn't see that!  Too funny!  I think Mr. The Edge looks like that whenever he plays guitar but that's just me.... (or maybe it's whenever he sings - but I especially like it when he sings with his eyes closed...)


Anyway, there's a photo of Bono which has been circulating the U2 fanbase recently, and it seemed as if it might also include BG, but whoever scanned it for the Bono girls (I'm not one of them, in case you couldn't tell) just didn't bother to include the part of the image which contained him.


I checked today.  Lo and behold, the January 2006 US edition of Vanity Fair has a two page spread of BG (left of the gutter) and Bono (right of the gutter) sitting on a couch, photographed by Annie Liebovitz.  I think it was either pages 88-89 or 98-99.  BG looks rather handsome, and Bono's hands have mysteriously disappeared.  If you're interested, go shopping!

Ah - Annie Liebovitz! I can imagine that photo must be good... I don't think I have any chance of getting it here. But if it is as good as I imagine it (and if even you say Bob is "rather handsome", lol!), I'd even consider sticking Bono to my wall... (joke only)

I'm not a big fan of Annie's.  I know too much insider gossip and I think her talent is vastly overrated.  However, in the past 10 years or so, even I think she's gotten pretty good. I have an autographed book of hers, was given another book once as a Christmas present but returned it....(the person who gave it to me just assumed because I like music and was a photographer that I'd like Annie's pix of musicians, but that's not how it works).


WHY can't you get this overseas (especially in Berlin - a big city with a fashion industry)?!  I can get international editions of most everything in NYC!  Expensive, yes - but not impossible.


I don't have a flatbed scanner, so I can't scan it myself.  I haven't even bought the mag, though I might.


You're gonna hang it on YOUR WALL?  Your poor husband!
