Though I'm pretty interested in it as far as the previously unrealeased stuff is concerned, I am a bit disappointed that like the Rats re-releases, it doesn't quite cover everything.
And I found this on ebay as a track listing for Crazy. Is this version of Looking After Number One from the Peel session?
01. Crazy 4:32 02. Looking After Number One (Live) 3:00 03. The Beat Of The Night (Live) 6:02 04. Room 19 (Sha la la la lee)(Live) 5:37
I am really looking forward to the box set and as a big fan of Bobs I am very happy with it.We can allways argue about what should be on these cds but I am not complaining about what we have so far seen this year. The 6 Rats cds are BRILLIANT:biggrin, and I have ordered the new cd from this site. The Crazy cd you mention version of L A N 1 is the same version on the other Crazy cd(the one with the 3 live Rats songs)..I have all 4 copys of Crazy.
I'm really pleased to be able to get it and get hold of some stuff I didn't have before/or just didn't have on CD, but yes it would be nice to have everything. It seems a shame to miss some gems off.

Ah, interesting! In that case, any chance of making up some MP3s and sending them to RatChat2005@yahoo.co.uk?
The ones I'm missing are...
The Beat Of The Night (Live)/Rat Trap (Live)/Room 19 (Sha la la la lee)(Live)
I wonder if there is a plan for all the remaining tracks Rats/Solo stuff for the future and that is why they are being held back. Maybe I'm just being hopeful?
What do I think of the anthology? I'd have preferred NEW WORK.
isn't this all NEW stuff ? I've only heard three of the list below before (those in italics).
BTW Has anyone bought and listened to these tracks yet? Are they any good? In other words, given I already have all the albums should I bother for any other reason than being an irrational completist
I'd have no problem paying for one CD containing the 13 tracks I've never heard. But I'm being asked to pay for a boxed set, of which I already own most and one quarter of which I cannot tolerate.
And I'd still prefer to listen to stuff written post-S/A/D. Is there artistic evolution? Isn't there? The man claims to think of himself as a musician first....so I wonder....where's the music?

I agree! I would certainly have bought a single CD of all the previously unreleased tracks, but as I probably only like about 10-20% of Geldof's solo stuff, it's only the completist in me that wants it. I know I will get it someday, just like SA&D which I picked up for a quid on eBay, after Derek The Dane badgered me into it!
I already bought the Rats albums again earlier this year (I was lucky enough to given the white label promos; cheers guys, you know who you are!), but still bought them with the proper artwork. No doubt I will get this anthology. I always do.
Im only buying it for my childrens children so they can pass it on to there chidrens children and so on and so! mini disc next oh! when will it end keep it up bob!!
