This is NOT any good to anybody here.
Also, some of these tickets must be forged, as Bob is not playing Newcastle.
Newcastle Gateshead its all the bloomin same. Why on earth would anyone go to all the trouble to forge tickets for a Bob concert? The venues are never full anyway.
Fair enough, but please understand that not everyone on this forum is from the UK, and would not realise that Newcastle/Gateshead is only separated by a bridge, and to all intents and purposes are the same place.
Also given the situation over Live 8 tickets, Katharina's reaction was not entirely unmerited especailly to a new poster.
As you say forging tickets is very unlikely, but buyers should beware of the concert being cancelled.
That said, I'm going to keep an eye on the auction, might bag a bargain!
will wasn't touting the the tickets, but merely providing information on what looks to be someone who just needs to sell them (and likely to be at a considerable discount to the face value for Shepherd's Bush).
Though I am not for touting, and would ban anyone trying to profiteer from ticket sales, I see no problem is people getting shot of tickets for face value of less if they can't attend. Shame they didn't come here to test the water first.
Only things to be wary of are a cancellation (which would not be unheard of) or the seller calling the Box Office to say the tickets were stolen; the eBay seller may have, ahem, picked the tickets off a doormat somewhere (of course, there's no way that postmen would open a letter containing tickets, is there? ). Or the eBay seller themselves may already have duplicates, so when you get turfed out of your seat..... But you should know that if you get tickets off market for any event.
It would have been funny if touts had bought a pile of tickets and were left with them, we'd all be able to go for a couple of quid each! Maybe that was Geldof's plan Might be an idea to turn up on the night and haggle with touts!
Maybe I'm overreacting, but in a situation where shows are cancelled, possibly due to low ticket sales, I think telling a Geldof fan community that there are some on the "black market" (if you want) is beyond good taste. "Will" knew they weren't selling well, and if he was just someone who had a ticket and couldn't go, he could have said so. Of course noone would take the hassle and fake a bloody Geldof ticket.
Touché on Newcastle though. Newcastle, Gateshead... Like Istanbul and Constantinople then, fair enough...
