Hi, i dont mean to be rude, or nasty, but is anyone getting p****ed off with all these cancellations?!?! I know i certainly was/am.....And jules...on a previous thread you mentioned that as it was www.bobgeldof.info surely it should say why they are cancelled. I agree.......why doent it say? We spent time and effort on these organisations, and some of us have waited a long time just for this one day. I am totally disappoined with all this, and not just for me, for everyone who was let down. grrrrr. i seems a little odd to me. I thought it was meant to be a tour. was there even enough giggs held for it to be called a tour?!!? Sorry about that rant, and i know that you guys and tina and ian etc had nothing to do with it, i just had to express my opinions! What do all you guys think!? luv Mouse x ADMIN: Moved mouse's comment in here as it was more apt than being in a thread on it's own.
Bobs got Flu? Was that at Hull last night? I hope that he doesn't suddenly go downhill and have to cancel tonights gig at Gateshead. I have to travel soonish and I dont want to go all that way and back again, as its a longway from Leeds To Gateshead and back for no reason.
Does Ian still come on here?.He got that last post wrong, they have sadly continued to 2015.
Occasionally, shame he doesn't contribute as much these days.
To be fair, they do give a bit more notice of cancellations, they are a bit rarer, and the venues are more in keeping with Geldof's stature as a solo artist than they were ten years ago. Geldof has played to some sparse audiences in recent times, so he hasn't cancelled just because the sales were moderate. The only time I ever saw the solo show it was as good as sold out and was really rally good. You know, you were there! (as was Ian)
Ultimately if people aren't buying the tickets then there is little point in having the concert. I suspect it costs Geldof to play solo gigs. He probably doesn't mind too much if there are at least a couple of hundred there, but when it's just double figures there isn't going to be much of an atmosphere.
Oh Jesus, 14 year old me was really into emoticons. I might uncringe in a few days.
I am glad the internet wasn't around in the late 1970s. I have written enough cr@p in the last ten years or so without having to worry about my youth. Thankfully that wasn't recorded.
