I taped this concert off the radio back in the day. Apart from all the songs highlight was Geldof saying 'Oh dear, someones thrown their mud encrusted sandal on the stage', or something similar during one of the songs.

£80? Fine if you can efford it. Makes me curious about what the greatest Rats or Geldof ebay rip off was?

Can't say I've looked on very regular basis since eBay started (moreso of late) but those framed 'platinum' CDs are a complete rip off at £99. E.G.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BOOMTOWN-RATS-BEST-CD-PLATINUM-DISC-FREE-P-P-/230631627434?pt=UK_Music_Music_Memorabilia_LE&hash=item35b2b75aaa#ht_3369wt_905

Looks like (any old) vinyl being sprayed (sorry 'professionally plated') given the frame is 16" wide (i.e. clearly not a CD) and accurate number of tracks is obviously not a consideration. Don't think Best Of even hit vinyl (might be wrong there - now that would be collectable)

So, get handy with an old scratched LP, spray paint, some mount and a cheap frame...and count their loss when you're gone. Simples!

p.s. I wonder if I ordered 2 whether limited edition number would actually differ?? confuse

How can the seller be listed as 'top rated' with 99.7% approval?

Does anybody know roughly how many copies the Greatest hits cd has sold? Should have done pretty well since its release seeing as it normally sells for under a tenner.

Those BBC albums are not worth £80.I have all the BBC albums and would never pay £80 for an album that is not really that rare.Good sound quality on them.

Seems that Rats being back in the news has upped the asking prices in places other than Oz concert venues.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Boomtown-Rats-Fine-Surfacing-1980/dp/B007HYV48Y/ref=sr_1_23?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1362602309&sr=1-23

In case link fails/expires, it's a 1980 concert poster. Seller only wants £4,100 no. I'd be tempted if the P&P was thrown in, but it's not.

That's a bit much not to include p&p, just makes it a tad expensive .
