Not sure why someone would value a German copy of V Deep at £160 or even £90.

It's not likely to have some tracks the rest of us have missed out on, and apart from the label saying 'Made in Germany (In German, of course!) what distinguishes it from a UK release? Is the artwork different? I'm presuming it'a a 1982 original , rather than a re release from 2005.

At least buying bootlegs you are getting something different, possibly a rare concert. Why anybody could put such a high value on a cd is beyond me- but if people are mad enough to pay that amount of money, good luck to them!

That is indeed staggering. Saw it on there before bidding shot up and found myself wondering if it was the only CD version with original track listing, which might make it more appealing to the completists among us, but ruled out bidding myself if only because all tracks were the same, and available on reissue CD.

Consider myself a fanatic in many respects, as I'm sure we all do, but wouldn't dream of parting with that sort of cash..well not until I win lottery anyway. Can easily see how eBay becomes competitive though, where it comes down to winning at all costs. Sounds like someone was determined to blow away any competition on that one!

I have it and it is the only CD with the original tracklisting. The re-issue apart from messing around with the order also excludes House Burned Down.

I got it for a tenner on original release though smile

I also have a German copy of V Deep with the same track listing as the cd that went for £160,it was just that the cd itself had a green arrow print on it and not the usual Mercury print.Nuts what us collectors look at and what we are willing to pay.
