And Bob's new catchphrase is ......

A wee smile for everyone for Christmas. After I got home from the Perth concert, about 1am, I emailed a review of the gig to my local radio station, hoping they would mention it the following day. Sure enough, when I was driving to work, about 7.45am  the same morning with my eyes propped open, the presenter read out all the good things I had said about Bob. Then he said "after the show Bob Geldof did a Daniel O'Donnell" I must make it clear that I have never been to a DoD concert, but I do know he is famous for meeting the fans afterwards and this is what he meant. This must be a first for Bob, being compared to Daniel O Donnell and indeed it must be the first time that the words "Bob Geldof" and "Daniel O Donnell"have been uttered in the same sentence. So, can anyone tell me did Bob Geldof "do a Daniel O Donnell" at Leicester last night?

PS I dont think anyone has asked Daniel O Donnell how HE feels about it either!

I think both gents will see the funny side.

What a nice surprise that they read out your review! Well done!

I hadn't a clue who Daniel O Donnell was but I checked (you got me curious, and it's my lunch break, lol). That man surely has a lot to do if he meets his fans after shows! Look at his tour dates:  http://www.daniel-site.com/tour-dates/  That list would suit Bob too, wouldn't it? C'mon Bob, do another Daniel O Donnell!

By the way Scottie, I keep reading your signature and wonder what it means - singing? snagging? snogging? LOL

And yes please folks, tell us a bit more 'bout Leicester!

Have corrected my avatar, a spelling mistake. Snogging would have been quite nice, with Bob of course, but my hubby would not have been too keen I think. He refused to go to Perth with me, said he would rather go to the dentist to have his teeth pullled!

We are still friends, just.
