Biggest gig of the Autumn tour. It would be some vindication of the comeback to sell out the Roundhouse in Chalk Farm, an iconic punk venue. Just over 3000 tickets to sell? Will it work out?

They will get enough of a crowd in it. Saturday night out. My work colleague is coming along, having hiterto shown no interest in seeing the previous incarnation. A lot of people who wouldn't have turned up for Geldof solo nor the Rats sans Geldof will go to this, even if it's just out of curiosity. It's a shame the Isle of Wight performance wasn't widely broadcast, that may have created a lot of interest.
Cork has a capacity of 4,000 and the tickets are selling well for that.
Still 50/50 on this one.Want to go but I have many family things happening this year including flying over to England for my brothers 60th in November.Amongst it all I have my 50th in September but I know what I am going ask for as a present .
Hope this helps Wondermouse. The above number is for general enquiries and the website lists a number for ticket enquiries. You could also email the roundhouse at the above adress.
I know they sold 1500 tickets in first week,so hopefully this will be pretty packed, got to drop elephant from the list as this was by far the worst track they did in cork.
Blind Date or Late Last Night, perhaps they will play em all, more the merrier, also big up for the support band FRED thought they rocked.
BARE FOOTIN` To DO THE RAT

I quite like Elephant's Graveyard, though I am not sure if it is the best song to come back with for the encore. Something high tempo like Don't Believe What You Read or Kicks would be a better return song, or alternatively just hold Looking After Number One or She's So Modern back.
1500 is about half the capacity. so it should be another big crowd on a par with Cork. Couldn't really appreciate how busy it was as I was right at the front, but looking at the photos from twitter et al, it looked very busy.

I was sober(!) and very curious about how big the crowd would be. It was absolutely jammed, esp. the standing area. Crowd was totally up for it. Couldn't have wished for a better audience reaction. Whoever said the Rats were not popular or that no one would be interested in seeing them has been proved wrong.
Downside- sound might have been a little dodgy, but I was wearing ear plugs so may have been that. But saved myself ear damage and tinnitus, so worth the reduced sound levels and quality.
I've just bought my ticket for the Roundhouse gig,£31 including taxes. Thought it would be more exciting to go to London gig rather than two in Dublin, and there is a good separation between the gigs to avoid overfimiliarity ie nearly a fortnight.
