Bob was on the Pat Kenny show on Newstalk today. At end of interview he says that he will review the situation with the Rats at Christmas.

I'll review my situation with them as well     If Geldof decides to not do it anymore, I can't imagine going to see the Bradbury Rats or the Barton Rats.  And wouldn't go to see Geldof solo.

I'm amazed that no other dates outside UK/Ireland have been announced.  Maybe they'll do them in November.

The Rats tour should sell fairly well. Will Bob be happy to then  go back to playing in front of a few hundred people, doing his own music? Once everybody is on speaking terms I can see the Rats playing together occasionally, and maybe that's good enough. Maybe the best way is for a Rats gig every now and then, with no formal arrangement.

I can't really see it being any other way. Then again, if the Rats got offered a festival like Glastonbury next summer would Bob say no to that? Who can say what the future holds? Overall we should be very glad that they have reformed, and not take that for granted.

I agree that the prospect of going to see Geldof solo, or Simon and Garry in some other Rats guise is not that appealing. It's bit like relegation from the Premiership.
