Re: Cameron's spell

Waiting for Geldof may turn out to be more reliable and cost effective than waiting for any other in terms of getting results with tax payers money.

What perplexes me is why Bob would do this?

Bob Geldof has agreed to become a new independent and unpaid advisor to the Conservative Party on global poverty.

I mean, they talk about how thrilled they are to receive his 20+ years of incredible expertise in consulting to their policies - and who can seriously argue this?

BUT the point is - THEY ARE BEING PAID - BY THE TAX PAYER - SO WHY SHOULD GOB BELDOF BE GIVING HIM THE EXPERTISE THEY NEED FOR FREE SO THEY CAN THEN CHARGE FOR IT?  A bit more political Orwellesque tomfoolery methinks.  Ferkin, firkin fecken sherpen wenkerrs.  Lets just REPLACE them with Bob... and a few others who might implement some real value fiscal policies and save a bit of tax dollar by trimming down weapon manufacturing budgets and other war crimes and treason against humanity.

Instead of having to "drop" the "debt" or even better, as well as dropping the existing "debt" against third world natural resource rich countries that have been exploited and raped by first world commercial interests who then pay them a pittance if anything at all or put it into the pockets of those who are going to go flying in a private leer jet rather than rebuild their country, we could actually pay the third world for their resources (that's right "Chainsaw Georgie boy" - buy the oil don't bomb their innocent women, children and defenseless menfolk - a novel choice for you I know) - a fair and equitable price.  Imagine that.

That would then cause third world product and services to be more expensive so Indian call centres or IT sweatshops would no longer be such an attractive exploitation of supporting "wealth through labour" schemes that really just are a way of a corporation cutting costs, and retrenching, sacking their own countries workforce, for which they most likely are not paying any or little tax as it will be invested off shore in tax shelters.

In turn, this would mean that again cottage industry and small business ventures in "second and third worlds", "first world" countries such as UK, Ireland, Europe, USA, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Wales, Scotland, etc. would be able to compete on the open market instead of being too expensive to produce small cottage or unique village products.

This would in turn mean that corporations and the wealthy would actually pay their share of tax back into the country for adminstration and services and protection as necessary; that the wealth may be redistributed more fairly amongst the general populations of the world and mass aid budgets and funding could be directed toward development and aid relief.  This of course is just a slice of the entire cake - but let them all eat it...  It's nothing short of evil murder that which is taking place in this world in the name of politics.  Territorial - against who?

I'm a little confused - didn't the US just launch some air strikes on remote villages in Pakistan to wipe out a few thousand peasants and to kill THREE "strategic" Taliban people?  Why didn't they just send in a chopper and champagne to fly them out as they did with Osama Bin Laden's family after 911?  What is that? Is that the part where the (Chainsaw George as hs wife fondly calls him for his eco sustainable predilection to chop down anything growing - don't we know it - again) "Christian war against the axis of evil" "turns the other cheek" as some one suggests in the New Testament?  Apathy to this kind of devillish brutal behaviour is as evil as pulling the trigger.

If there weren't so many people being brutally destroyed one would see much humour.  Instead it's sick and primitive non intelligent behaviour.  People seem to go along with it either because they are afraid, or because they stupidly think that they too might achieve some point of "celebritism" where they can snort all the cocaine, booze, debort wild sex orgies and never work again.  Yeah right - how many actually get to that point in our "free" capitalist world? And those that do - how many have not lost their souls along the way.  Why not share wealth around a bit and let everyone have a good time  More fun that way. Better than running around blowing each other up and watching people starving and suffering to death - stepping over them on the footpath.  It takes more energy to hate and resent than to love.

By implementing "Bob savers" into world politics,  we'd have smaller aid budgets and could place a levy on pharmaceutical manufacturing companies that produce cosmetic enhancers and that vanity commercialism (fair enough) can be transferred into some real benefit into medical supplies in Third World countries and old age pensioners or those who can't afford to support their families.  It's about time we had global political reform - let the wealth pay for the privilege of being wealthy rather than the other way around.

I used to think the United Nations might be good for that - but their jurisdiction and enforcement of international law policy is "all the world must comply except George doesn't have to because he's a big bully and will do what he wants, change the law so he doesn't have to break it".  Some policy Mad as Rabbits they are.  Also you have to be "special" to be voted into the United Nations now - it goes by your upstanding devotion to world causes and steadfast upholding of social values in the community - a role model for all - just ask Bolton.  Then you have to be nominated by someone equally virtuous (Who was it, that nominated Bolton?).  If you are a refugee the United Nations are good.

If you are a rich refugee, the United Nations is more good than if you are just a refugee fleeing the plight of some natural catastrophe or war disaster who is not rich.  That is because there are so many other refugees that the United Nations has to put them into camps - they give them a number and if you have a better wealth status you might be able to come to a rich country where people will resent you and discriminate against you, and hate you because you're stealing their jobs.

If you weren't able to get away with papers or identity you might have to wait in one of the tent cities that are outside the number camps.  But at least the aid companies will deliver you some grains of rice which is better than nothing - and they are good people delivering the aid - they do their best but they have to make do with whatever George and his buddies let them have - it most likely wont be any of that surplus food supply that is rotting and going to waste because it would have "glutted" the first world stock market - it's more likely to be some rice with terminator genes in case you get economically too far ahead of yourselves and try to grow some in the dust.  But we love you and feel sorry for your plight - if you ever get rich enough and find some officials to bribe come over and look us up some time.  We'll offer you a property development opportunity.

I mean, who really voted in their country for Weapons of Mass destruction to be the number one industry?  Who really voted that Corporations or pharmaceutical companies could withdraw, withold and enforce exhorbitant prices of medicines?  Who really decided that Kyoto agreement and Greenhouse emissions are set at such a low priority?  Who decided that it was more important for their children to grow up into a world that was wealthy and consumer oriented than one with the environment in tact, water to drink and air to breathe - with real animals instead of DVD ROM presentations of extinct species?  Who indeed?

Oh yes the "ideal" and the Philosophy behind "politics" and the United Nations is there, as are many commendable people - it's just the Matrix where it lives perpetuates its structure.  Which is more hypocricy.

Have you noticed how debt collectors and the whole debt process from corporations is aimed at regaining ridiculously tiny amounts of money, thousands spent on hounding and harassing poor families who are obviously in some form of crisis - losing everything, while huge corporations go bankrupt and then start up in a new name or with new associates a few weeks later with a clean slate?  Why is that?  Why do companies pay debt collection agencies to chase people starving to make ends meet for their families but turn a blind eye to those that can "afford" to be above it?

Firken sherpers everywhere, I tell you.  But no relation to those Himilayan Sherpas - these ones are nastie little alien sherpas that run around knobbing knee caps and behaving like suited barbarians spouting in the name of political truth and integrity " protecting their flocks" - the good sherpas of the cruel world we've rebranded "Hell".  Nothing to do with organized crime, political con men and women, or people just out to make a selfish buck - oh no.  But as long as everyone does it - then that makes one no more guilty than the other does it not? Wenkers.
