It's just Bob raving again. One minute he's cool (astronaut) and then he's spouting nonsense. Backstage at Ifield he was telling a few of us from this forum about how the Rats had no fans, or very few. A few weeks later he's playing to sell out crowds in Cork and Devon and IoW.
He was knocking back the 'ribena', more than one glass, but sometimes he just makes little sense.

According to Bob we are going to become extinct in 15 Yeats. So this article says. It says there is a video, but I can't see it. Not sure what the context is, so reserve some judgement on what he has said. However, where's his evidence? Has he lost the plot .
I seriously think he does too much travelling. Two weeks ago he was in Singapore, 13 hrs flight from London. Then Johannesburg which is an 11 hour flight from London. How can anyone travel like that and be sane?

Isn't flying around the world contributing to global warming?
But reading the whole Telegraph article, he should get back to being Bobby Boomtown, he's more interesting.
Indeed flying around the world is contributing to climate change. How many cars does BG or is that BB now, have. I'm pretty certain they are gas guzzlers. Maybe he should rethink his own lifestyle too .
In pressing records, lugging equipt round world tours, flying, tour buses, cars, lighting and sounding numerous gigs, printing tickets, programmes, making videos then most pop stars are going to struggle with a green slant on what they say. During an average 5 year 'high' they will make a massive carbon footprint that most of us would struggle to equal in our lifetimes.
People switch off when things are what they think dramatised too much, especially by pop stars.
i like outlandish statements coming from him........... better than being a stiff in a suit saying only practised and rehearsed lines and going round in round in flippingcircles saying the same thing after interview after interview after interview etc.
yeh sure, be a bit mad..... he obviously gets his act together where needs be.
ya know you got a have a slightly mad streak to remain sane........ and i think to expect people to behave in a certain strict fashion all the time is soul destroying.
we'll all be dead in 15 years time..... haha maybe he meant it metaphorically or perhaps he just wanted to say something different for once..... maybe he said it to be funny. who knows. lol.
'saying only practised and rehearsed lines and going round in round in flipping circles saying the same thing after interview after interview after interview etc'
This is what Geldof is doing right now, in his snakeskin suit! If I hear 'relevant today as 1978' or '3000 cameras in London' etc anymore, the only stiff will be us - bored stiff.
I don't expect him to behave 'in a certain strict fashion' - it's Bob Geldof, so thankfully it'll never happen, but sometimes pop stars need to think about what they say versus what they do. I remember Sting being asked by Paxman if he felt uncomfortable travelling between his numerous homes at enormous carbon cost - how it stung!
I remember Sting bringing a man on to tv screens - I think he was an African tribesman, something to do with climate change. Poor man, being removed from his environment and pushed onto the media!! Total madness .
