Yes peace reigned supreme. Bob did make a reference to the Nolan Show but the crowd was great except for some idiot who threw a bottle just after the band left the stage. It was only a plastic one but I still wasn't amused at the shadow that whizzed by me. Yes having Never Bites again was good. It is a shame it wasn't done the first night in Vicar Street and on the CD. Hopefully it will be done again at the London show and we get a recording of it.

Maybe we should hope for a few more different songs in London in that case. Given the first ten singles have to be played, that leaves eight or nine other songs including Never Bite The Hand That Feeds.
Great night. To a full house. He is much better the bob rat than solo bob Any day solo bob would have has a hand full at this gig. So I hope he gets his eyes opened here
Does Bob really want to go back to solo Bob after this tour?.We are all waiting for a new Boomtown Rats album and not a Bob Geldof one.Wonder what will happen when this tour ends.

I suspect nothing will happen. Generally it takes Geldof ten years or so to come out with a new record. I suppose we'd better listen to the Ratlife EP before deciding if we really want a new LP.
I wouldn't say it 'generally' takes 10 years or so for him to produce an album. He's done 5 solo albums, over around 25 years. That's an average of about 5 years lol.
He wants to do live music, solo doesn't go down too well, and as you say he might not want to go back to that alone. So I'm guessing h will want to continue with Rats, if everyone else is on board. They're having great success so far, so why won't they?

The gaps between albums are now up to ten years. Happy Club (1993) -8- SAD (2001) -10- Popular Songs (2011).
Realistically, don't expect anything until 2021 at the earliest.
As for The Rats, I guess the questions are will people want to see them again? will those that missed out this time want to see them in the future?
I would go along and see them, but I am a pretty big fan. Maybe the thousands coming along on the tour would see them again, I don't know. Best enjoy this for now and not worry too much about whatever happens in the future.
