Fantastic evening. The band were on great form. The setlist was the same as the previous gigs this week. A later start last night than usual at 9.15 as there were no less than 4 support acts, however the setlist was not curtailed.

Excellent to meet suss beforehand for a couple of beers and stick with him throughout the gig, great guy.

Myself and the better half were blown away by getting a chance to briefly meet the band afterwards. They were all charming and Bob made time to chat with us on his views on the current music scene and particularly how highly he rated our camera! He seemed pleased that my missus recalled him signing her copy of The Vegetarians of Love on the day Meadowhall Shopping Centre opened in 1990.

It certainly would take a lot to beat last night for us!

I hope Dundee and Aberdeen go well and all those going have a great time.

Apologies - think I said on another thread I'd dig out the Donny support. Please see below.

I still rate The Mighty Stef as the best support of the tour though. Checkout this track for a flavour http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qs3-06Mz44

From the album they were flogging at the gigs. Great stuff.

All that support and the Rats were then only on for 1 hour and 20 mins. I'd feel a bit short changed. Patrik wasn't such a bad deal after all.

They played what became the 'standard' set, so must have been on about 1 hour and 40 mins. Probably started and finished their set outside of the times published - can't really recall. Melv kept buying powerful beers....

This was venue btw. I might load some of other venues on the other appropriate threads for posterity, and in case I lose my memory card thingy smile.

Local leisure centre, so not far removed smile

They even pulled those huge black floor to ceiling drapes across left hand side to box it in a bit. Entire sports hall could prob hold about 4000 standing!

Yep, they came on at about 21:15 and finished just before 23:00 as I recall. Beers and company were all good smile
