The website is currently advertising w/e tix only, so I emailed them. They replied very quickly:
Our weekend tickets are set to go on sale tomorrow with our first big announcement. Our day tickets will only be released in the new year once we've announced more bands and decided who is playing on which day.
Great news, hope to be there. The Wynchwood festival is at Cheltenham racecourse, so there should be plenty of room. I think we'll have to find a pub for a meet up in Cheltenham, which isn't a bad location.
Warm up for an appearance at Glastonbury? Good chance of returning to Cork or Isle of Wight? Play Field Day the following week ?
I'm not sure if I'd be up to going to Glastonbury if the Rats were to play there. The festival just seems too big and commercialised. It's very likely that the Rats will be playing other gigs during the year, though as yet we can't know where.
Anyway Wynchwood has been going for ten years, and the Rats headlining the anniversary gig is good enough. We should just enjoy the performances instead of trying to tick off a list of the big 'name ' festivals. Most of the time the smaller festivals are a lot more fun, and less commercialised.
I'm not sure if they will play the Isle of Wight again after such a great performance 2013. I think a warm up for Glastonbury is likely and it will also be televised so it would be cool to have a professionally done video of them. I think they would win over lots of new converts which would be cool
I hope they don't play Glastonbury and IoW again. I don't like big festivals and would feel as though I was missing something by not going at the same time. .
Good job it's at the start of next summer, so will have lots of time to save up. Funny, I have not seen any interview with Geldof or the rest after the tour finished, to get an idea of their future plans. Though I doubt this festival appearance is a once off. Bob will probably buy a new suit and get a new comedy routine for 2014.
Anyway they deserve a good rest, and a bit of time away from each other. In a few months they will have recharged their batteries and will be ready for more touring, hopefully. Now we know that Geldof must be happy enough with the 'regrouping'- if he wasn't then he would not have agreed to play this summer date. It's odds on that there will be more gigs over the summer and maybe autumn as well.
Hopefully anyone one who missed out this year might get to see the Rats next year, and some of us will just keep on feeding our addiction.

None of us will be, it's sold out. I was speculating on what it could mean. I'd like a return to Cork and headlining Field Day on Saturday would suit me .
