The Doors (better late than never)

For the last week or more I've been working my way through the 6 album back catalogue of The Doors. I had only been aware, mainly,  of their well known singles, but listening to the album tracks what a great band they were. Love the organ/keyboard sound, great tunes and nice to discover lots of great songs.

Anyone have and favorite Doors albums, tracks or singles?

Yes, I like some of their stuff but have quite a bit still to hear. Favourite track,  Love her madly which has an insanely catchy organ break which reminds me of Living in an island when the calypso bit breaks out around 'It could happen to you'

Other likes are People are strange and Riders.

I have liked all that I have heard and like you feel I should get into them more. In that case, can't name the tracks, but you've got me thinking I should give them a listen.

As long as those doors don't lead to kitchens, even if there is a rat in there.

Have just been googling - as you do when it's Friday afternoon and you're bored at work with nobody to talk to! - and guess what, they had a single called Soul Kitchen! Will have to have a listen sometime ... So sorry, Jules, the doors do lead to kitchens in google world

Soul kitchen is on the first album called The Doors. Just  wondering what Brucie or Larry Graysons 'scores on The Doors' might be? Somehow I don't think either would be getting down to the late sixties pyschedelic sound of LA- though you never know.smile
