So who saw Dolly at Glastonbury at the festival or on the telly?

Is Dolly about the 'nicest' it gets in the world of celebrities?

I mean yeh she's cheesy as hell and her face and boobs are fake of course.

lol - I expect there are feminists out there that hate her look.

But she is 'nice' isn't she?  she just seems nice, that's all. (and she's got a not bad voice, plus she can write songs and sing with feeling and play a couple or so instruments)

and as I posted to facebook, its nice to have niceness during this time when these apparently hugely 'loved and adored' childrens' tv presenters etc. are being taken to court and prosecuted for kiddy fiddling, rape and sexual assault.  so for me, dolly was a kind of white light of niceness in this increasingly scandalous and vile world of depraved tv celebrities that is now being uncovered.

so dolly might have false boobs but at least she isn't falsely child friendly.  at least she's open about her false body, hair and face.  she doesn't keep it secret.  she appears honest and as such can hold her head up.

you know I always found saville and harris creepy anyway.  honestly.  I just thought they were weird.

anyway, well I'm just looking for a place to hang out atm.  its quite late, work tomorrow.......... and I've not been on here for ages cos I thought I made an arse of myself last time.... hmmm will go back and look at what I wrote in a minute.  maybe its not as prattish as I thought it was shortly afterwards lol

haha, listen to me prattling.

doing a jazz festival this weekend.  as in going along to spectate and have a great dance I hope.  the friend I am going with loves dancing too, so it should be fun.

well guys..... I wonder who will read this.

and wonder what theyre thinking as they read it

maybe: wtf?

lol..... anyway guys, possibly catch up with some of you at guilfest if I go..... depends on getting day off work.... better book it off now if I want to do it.

so this is JoanOfArc back on the forum after a longish break.

hello

and bye for now

I've read it and am glad to have you back.

I hadn't really taken too much notice of Dolly Parton, her music does nothing for me and I'm not too keen on the Deep South accent. However, I caught a clip of her talking the other day. She mentioned her Botox injections and I did think, that's very honest and open, I must say. I appreciate what you're saying about how refreshing it is to see 'nice' amongst the darkness.

Jimmy Saville has always given me the creeps, but I was fooled by Rolf Harris, unfortunately. In a way, that sickens me even more, because of the disappointment. The day the news broke about Saville, I arrived home, having not heard any news at all. H said have you heard about JS? I immediate reaction was, don't tell me he's a paedophile?

Have you seen the meeting point for Gilfest. The Robin Hood, hope to see you there and welcome back.

So as not to confuse Joan just thought I'd mention Robin Hood is meeting place for Chilfest this Friday.

Not sure we've established any meet for Guilfest have we, although bizarrely this place is walking distance from Stoke Park - www.robinhoodguildford.com

Serendipity?
