Song Of The Emergent Nationalist vs Song Of Solomon

In recent years I have become a fan of Kate Bush's work, specifically Aerial onwards, though I dip into her back catalogue and 'greatest hits' occasionally. Seeing her 'Before the Dawn' show at the Hammersmith Apollo in September was well worth the £150 (though in doing so I've blown my gig allowance for a long time!).

Whenever I hear her 'The Song Of Solomon' I get this nagging feeling, what song does this remind me of? Last night it occurred to me that it might just be The Song Of The Emergent Nationalist. I mean, their titles even start with the same two words!

Does anyone else hear a resemblance?

Something relevant to note is that (according the the interwebs) Happy Club was released October 1992 and the Red Shoes was released October 1993; also that Kate Bush is -- how can I put this? -- the one with the reputation of being an innovator (see how I avoided the word 'genius'?).

One of my old Rats newspaper clippings shows a telegram (look it up on Wiki) from Kate Bush to the Rats, congratulating them on reaching number One in 1978 with Rat Trap. From what I can remember Kate Bush and the Rats and Geldof would certainly have known each other and possibly were friends.

I can see a resemblance in the two songs, whether it is incidental or whether Kate Bush was listening to The Happy Club album back in '92 we'll probably never know, though from the fact the Geldof and Bush were friends means it is not beyond the bounds of possibility that Kate was influenced by the Geldof song.
