So we a census on the best album, how bout best single and non single joey don't count as we all know this wins hands down.

Let's kick off with mine.

Single I'll go for Mary of the 4th form.

Non single I'll go for fan mail oh sorry that's Blondie, would have to say "Blind Date" or " I can make it if you can" listen to this smoking a spliff nothing sounds better.

Still Rat Trap for me, with Eva Braun not only best non single but to me the best thing they ever did.

You can see others' singles faves at http://boomtownrats.activeboard.com/t46593552/rank-the-singles/ but some may have changed their mind over time I guess?

Someone's Looking At You for best single

Real Different best b side

Best album track:

Joey from album 1

Me and Howard Hughes  from album 2

Wind Chill Factor (Minus 0) from album 3

Go Man Go from album 4

He watches it All from album 5

Hard Times  from album 6

Joey wins by a whisker, but if that's not allowed, Me and Howard Hughes next.

Boringly enough, Rat Trap best single.
Non-single a three way split between When The Night Comes/Howard Hughes/Island

QED Was your number 6 in 2011 Noel, but that said you did have 6 singles ranking 10 out of 10! Edited to add you did say then there was no 'ranking' of top 6.

Suspect you might be in a minority of one there though.

Best single Rat Trap

Best non single Joey by a country mile - but if that's excluded When the Night Comes closely followed by I Can Make It

Just listened to ratlife ep it ain't that bad actually I have heard worse on radio1 and 2 etc. so we need some new rats material though but the old stuff is still classic and as fresh now as in the 70s I play them all the while more than any other artists and always will

Back to Boomtown is a good track with more thought going into the lyrics than the other tracks and some nice sax work,  drumming and emotion in the singing.
