Few live renditions in my shower. NOT nice to hear, even worse to see

Not sure is my answer. I've never seen it but I didn't catch before V Deep tour. Need to ask those on Bongos tour I suspect.

The intro to Go Man Go morphs into Diamond Smiles in a live Tokyo clip on You Tube which has been flagged elsewhere on here.

That's the only time I've ever heard any part of Go Man Go live.

I had a look through some of the live bootlegs from 1981 and to borrow a phrase Go Man Go is conspicuous by its absence.

Funny thing is that  the song is about touring so you would think it would be suitable and pertinent when played live.Even Mood Mambo was given priority as the Mondo Bongo tour opening track, but I think that was to introduce the new 'direction' the Rats were taking, rather than it necessarily being the best thing since sliced bread that everyone couldn't wait to hear.

I feel this song As much as I like it, has too much going on in it for a live take

I think you might on to something here. I would wager they couldn't come up with an arrangement that did the song justice live. I wonder if this was a factor in it being passed over as a potential single? For me it is up there with He Watches It All as great songs that were never singles.

FWIW I always though Dave was weak live (shouldn't have done some variation for the chorus?) but Lucky was better live than the record (eg the piano really coming through in the mix). And I nominate The Little Death as the BTR song least likely to be any good live.
