I like this less now than years ago. In fact, the worst tracks on Mondo and V Deep, I tend to filter out more and more so no compilation cd of mine is going to include this track, the Little Death or Mood Mambo.

Each to their own...
Agreed. Though I did leave them on my compilation of the 6 albums on one MP3 CD for completeness sake. Though I did exclude the bonus live version of Another Piece of Cr@p. I'm not a total masochist.
I do tend to hit the skip forward button when they come on. CDs are great!
PS I don't mind Mood Mambo so much. Not great, but I will listen to it.
This is one of my favourite tracks too. I like both the simple tune and words. I remember on a previous post - called Eurovision or something similar - I put this in the my top 12. A little controversial admittedly. Not sure many people agreed and possibly understandably so. However still one of my favourite Rats songs.
Timbo iagree with you quite anice track & to be honest mondo was a good album for its time
Mondo Bongo reached 6 in the UK but weeks on chart was low. It's as though a switch was flicked around Jan 81 and Elephants Graveyard and Mondo Bongo both suddenly headed for the exit. No third single was lifted to keep the album afloat and it wasn't until December '81 that the Rats returned with dancing poodles in Million Years.

There was a 3rd single of the Mondo Bongo album It was Go man go
Go Man Go did not hit the charts in Ireland. It is really weird but the Rats faded both in Ireland and the UK at the same time.House On Fire was also the last chart hit for the Rats in Ireland as well.
i agree with Derek they slumped in UK & Ireland so quickly & yet other worse bands of that era seemed to survive it baffles me but I never stopped following them Still we have them back now for the time being so let's make the most of them!
Hear, hear. I myself could not under stand the sudden stop of support It's not as if there was other good band about at the time. But I think the press took there toll on them the gits
The same press who tried to take credit for bandaid but seem to slag off Bob & the rats whenever & wherever they have the chance I also think the media/ press influence people's musical tastes but the rats are better than them any way right rant over sos all !
