Discogs is a great place to check various releases of any album. Seems Tonic was issued in the States in 1979, featuring 2 tracks from the British debut ie Mary of the 4th Form and Joey's On The Street Again. Pasted below is the full track listing:
US version of V Deep includes Whitehall 1212, all other tracks as UK edition. This is for vinyl originals, not sure if cd's freatured different tracks. Also wonder why a really weak track like Whitehall was added- they must think the yanks are fools.
The vinyl copies I've checked on Discogs for the US version of Surfacing have the same track listing as the British original. The debut album in the USA is same as here also, though I think it came out in 1978 on Mercury/Ensign.

Thanks Noel & suss for the info as I say have itlg &mondo already hopefully will get deep soon as well as tonic I will have all,the us versions then love us versions of lucky and drag me down
Just got the Canadian version of In The Long Grass and it surprised me a bit.It contains Rain but it has the UK versions of Drag Me Down and Lucky.I always thought the Canadian albums were the same as the U.S ones.
