I would love to hear Bob reading poetry. I think the Irish lilt is well suited to it. Maybe he could do some at the Edinburgh Festival? Would go down a bomb. I recall him saying in an interview that one of the priests at his school one day read Paradise Lost and it just clicked with him and started his love of poetry. I think this is quite a regular thing with him.
You need to get Voices of Ireland - I think I got mine from Amazon. There is a book and a CD. It is a collection of famous Irish people - including Bob and Bono reading various poetry. I prefer to listen to their accents than read the poetry - poetry is meant to be read aloud anyway
You can listen to Bob reading a poem at the italian fan club's page: Books & Videos - In aid of... Title: Voices and poetry of ireland Foreword: Brendan Kennely Year: 2003 Pages: 140 Published by: Harper Collins Printed in: Great Britain
