Boomtown Rats - Falling Asunder 1976 tour (photograph)

The brilliant resource U2 & Dublin 76 to 80 recently published a photograph from the 1976 Falling Asunder music tour which had never been digitised before.

This groundbreaking rock revue showcased The Boomtown Rats, Nightbus and Cheap Thrills  and was the first nationwide tour of Irish rock bands. A 29-seater bus toured all over Ireland in July 1976 taking in at least 15 different venues.

An attempt to identify all those in the photograph has taken place on the Dublin social history blog Come Here To Me! - https://comeheretome.com/2017/04/29/falling-asunder-rock-revue-1976/

Great early pic of rats so different to what we normally see of them (in their prime)

Good picture. Can make all of the Rats out; Crowe and Cott look older in 1976 than in 1980! And what is Russell Brand doing standing next to Geldof smile
