Anyone go?

https://www.irishnews.com/arts/2018/06/02/news/bob-geldof-for-my-generation-the-ireland-of-today-is-wonderful-miraculous-1344774/

....the Rats are back in action in Holywood with a set likely to feature a couple of brand new songs from their recently recorded new album and a renewed focus on second LP A Tonic For The Troops, which turns 40 this month.

As for the new Rats album, Geldof is confident that they've made a record they can stand over even though he's not sure what happens next.

"I knew we could make a good record, but who the **** cares?" he grumbles. "The people who come to see us want to hear the songs they've grown up with. I think there's three or four singles there, but where will they get played?

"There isn't any danger in music anymore. I watched The Biggest Weekend on the telly with Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith and Taylor Swift and all those it's all so friendly and fun and charming, y'know?

"It's like, 'F*** charm!'"

Sounds like a good Rats album title to me.

Looks like the snake skin suit is back in the wardrobe...

... no new songs but looks like Joey and Howard Hughes are back in the set list, at the expense of Eva Braun and #1

A guess at the set list from the review

Close as Youll Ever Be.
Like Clockwork.
Neon Heart
Shes Gonna Do You In
Joeys on the Street Again
Me and Howard Hughes
Someones Looking at You
Banana Republic
Shes So Modern
I Dont Like Mondays
Mary of the 4th Form.
Rat Trap.
Diamond Smiles
The Boomtown Rats

Great Set, i guess its difficult but i would always have the 2 dropped tracks in there, extremely weird no new tracks being played.

Possible they were in the set that is just what I gleaned from the review.  I would abridge Mary and drop the encore to fit them in.

Not surprised there were no new songs; looking at up coming dates they don't appear to be headliners at any, so it will just be the hits pretty much.  I would have expected be a Hurtwood Polo Club/Gate try out before introducing the new songs.  Of course, possible they have done/will do something like that without me knowing.
