Gigs of 2018
Permalink

  1. Jarv Is - Earth - New songs, Halloween, and an obscure Pulp song and Bela Lugosi's Dead as an encore.  Fab!
  2. Rolling Stones/Liam Gallagher - London Stadium - Sneaked into the golden circle to see them for what could be The Last Time, I don't know.
  3. unloved - Hoxton Music Hall - Atmospheric night out with the main creators of the Killing Eve soundtrack.  Look out for them in 2019
  4. Johnny Marr - Islington Assembly Hall - Some old Smiths faves and a few decent new songs
  5. Tom Robinson - Shepherd's Bush Empire - Power in the Darkness in its entirety, great gig.
  6. Squeeze/Roland Gift - Brentwood - Roland Gift has a great voice and some great songs, so do squeeze, but the gig was so LOUD, we had to leave halfway through their set
  7. House of Love - Roundhouse - Re-run of first album and other songs, but not particularly engaging.
  8. Franz Ferdinand - Kingston - Overcrowded night club with an abridged set.  Only consolation was LP was thrown in with price of ticket.

Nice summary, thanks. 7 of those I'd like to have gone to.

Which one wouldn't you have gone to?

7, even if I hadn't have seen your review comments.

The funny thing with House of Love is I only got the tickets cos a couple of friends wanted to see them and then they couldn't make it on the night.   Fortunately, another friend and his wife went so I had company.  Until 1am (hic)
