What is happening for the Palladium show?

I understand from the Rats social media that every date in 2020 has been delayed until 2021, but I have received no word from the promoters and ticket company. The Palladium website is still selling tickets. I don't mind keeping my ticket for a rescheduled date but I don't want the date to go by without even knowing what is happening financially to my ticket money.

London Palladium and Brighton Dome are still on sale and nothing from either venue to say they are not taking place. I doubt either will take place, but if the Palladium gig does end up happening, I will get there.  It will have to end by 10pm  That written, would be good for Brighton as I could get train home smile

Hi thank you Ratboy. I wasn't asking for when the new date will be. I was just saying that I have not heard from the ticket company about whether the event is cancelled or not. The date of the concert is only in a week or so. If it is being cancelled I'd like to know how to get my money back.

The Rats have already said on Instagram that everything is cancelled until 2021. Added to Governments latest actions I think that your moneys safe

I would hope they would offer the choice of a refund or a transfer of ticket to the new date ... I don't think it's acceptable to just keep the money and tough luck if you can't make the date.  I obviously realise they're trying to keep afloat but the choice should be given.

London Palladium will give you a refund if you ask for it.   Don't know about Brighton as I never bought a gig ticket, just a train ticket that was refunded.

I had a £40 standing ticket which I bought after the date was rescheduled.  Couldn't make initial date of 1st May.  Then other seats became available, doubtless with others getting refunds. So I bought a £51 second row stalls aisle seat and they refunded the £40 ticket.

I will hang onto ticket.  1st May is about the only day I can't make in the foreseeable future as it is Mrs. ArrGee's birthday and I like living too much to go off to a gig on my own smile

I think they may cancel Palladium and move to another London venue as ticket sales don't look too healthy if the Palladium seating plan is anything to go by.  Alternatively they might do 2 or 3 socially distanced gigs at the Palladium.

I have 7 gigs and a festival rescheduled, so about £500 tied up as I have multiple tickets for most of them.  Made sure I kept details of credit card payments just in case they don't happen.  Had to jump through a few hoops to get refunds from Ryanair and Saracens, but got there in the end thanks to Nationwide and Bank of Scotland.

Stone Valley South Festival have offered a £10 beer voucher for the delay and the line up has been enhanced, so not all bad.

If the shows ever do happen, I will go to Cambridge and Brighton as well as London. Suspect it could be last proper tour, especially as it is now 6 years since the last one.

The Boomtown Rats at The London Palladium on Tue 6 October 2020 has been postponed.

The new date is yet to be confirmed, however your tickets will remain valid. As soon as we have confirmation of new dates, we will be in touch.

That's absurd. Anyone riddled with the virus will have given it to dozens.

The thing is, is that such a bad thing? Can we play hide and seek with a virus like this? Should not those older or more vulnerable than average simply shield themselves as they see fit? Treatment is much better now and people are going to suffer or die in ever larger numbers from non-covid ailments if we just obsess over one virus. Don't get me started the economy either!

I am, but you cant change ticket for front row as none are available right now. A couple of  singles in row H you could swap for.
