A very nice bit of promotion for Bob ahead of his South African gigs (tonight I believe). Nice to see they remember he had a string of hits with the Rats and not just say he was famous for Mondays. Anyone lucky enough to be going?
Thank you for taking the trouble to update the information on this site. The article was interesting. There are usually lots of articles referring to humanitarian achievements which could be discussed but noone on the site seems to have mentioned a new book by Clair King due to be published in May 2006. Confessions include her love affair with Sir Bob which is spiced up to detail that the affair continued whilst Paula was pregnant with Fifi. Clair King is the beautiful actress who played Kim Tate in Emmerdale. She is 43 now and started seeing Bob after a gig when she was 17. If they were still an item when Paula was pregnant it was a long term love affair and lasted for years. She says that she couldn't leave him out of her autobiography because he was one of the big romantic loves of her life. I hope she is well and healthy and she has a look a like working at Ammanford's 'Crisp and Fry' chip shop. If anyone wants to see the article I can e-mail it to them. I got it from contact music a website that allows you to register for articles on Bob Geldof and other stars. It's brilliant because they send piles of interesting short articles. Someone elso on this site also appears to get the same ones so the info is often here first but the Clair King story hasn't been mentioned yet. I must try to write shorter quotes!
I hope Bob and the band are lucky enough to be going. They are playing in Belgium in May (9th I think). Bob is half Belgian isn't he? It is a peace festival. Is anyone going to that? Has anyone else met his Belgian relative (possibly his real wife?) a pretty girl with long black curly hair and darkish complexion. She is a relationship Psychic and is very keen to resove humanitarian emergencies. She introduced herself as 'Psychic Ann'. She may also have a Belgian name and claimed to be a close relative of Bob's. She lives and works near Los Angeles so she is unlikely to go to Belgiam but told me she'd visit me in Wales (seems even less likely!). I'm considereing going to Belgium but don't want to waste my time. I bought the cd and whilst I enjoy the music it is expensive and may not further humanitarian work the most. Sadly for me I always gain something from the concerts but it is such a long way to go. The Belgian people are quite a lot like the young Bob - noisy and outspoken and goodlooking. He played there once before and I tagged along. I'd expected a peaceful experience (a peace festival) but they are all so hi-enery like him in youth that it isn't that peaceful. They may want to sort out the world but so did I and they are inclined to criticise loudly rather than offer any constructive solutions. I expect it is a lovely trip if anyone is able to go.
