Picked up a copy of Mondo Bongo from India(it also came from India). The sleeve was in a bad state and the record covered in dust but it plays and I love it.The biggest difference is the back cover being different to any other.

I was talking to a friend the other day about loss of empire (fleetingly) whilst out walking and on the phone and he mentioned India and Gibraltar. I literally called this song up into my head to add Hong Kong, Singapore, Malta and he went wow, of course, forgotten about those, crikey didn't think you were that good at history!

Can't be too many bands you can actually learn things from lyrics but in that period we were lucky to have so many with 'meaningful' content. Not sure anything that gets airplay nowadays would qualify, but well aware my listening spectrum is very narrow.

I really enjoyed listening to the vinyl album of Mondo Bongo again.Lyric wise it is fantastic but some of the songs are a bit marmite.
