Bono is returning to Africa next week, nearly a year on from Make Poverty History and live 8 to see if things have improved.

I read this too and I'm interested in it. Is there going to be any documentary or news report on it on the TV? Or will it be ignored because of the coverage on Bob's recent trips? Obviously there will be newsreports in the press. Nothing has been said on any of the articles.

Oh, I posted this in the Bob Geldof listing too. Still worth a read, whichever section you find it.

Yes Bono is sure to talk about his trip to Africa in his edition of the Independent, however, I'd like to see a TV report after the event and hear what he has to say.

Report on Bono's trip:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/4989526.stm. There is also a report on TV right now as I type. Bono is visiting a textile factory (I think it is one belonging to his Edun group).

BBC America showed a report last night, featuring the manufacture of "Red" label clothing and a small fashion show. Unfortunately one could not see the designs very well. Looked like long-sleeved striped t-shirts. I am looking forward to seeing how these items get into US stores, as well as the whole Red idea with the money from Red clothing getting back to Africa. Interesting!
