Dream support and setlist

I would like Julian Cope to kick things off with a Teardrop Explodes retrospective.  The Damned, The Stranglers and The Pistols with Frank Carter could follow with hit filled sets, before The Rats play two sets with a short interval with Happy Mondays filling in.

Set One

  • (I never loved) Eva Braun
  • Like Clockwork
  • Mary of the 4th Form
  • Looking After Number 1
  • Shes So Modern
  • Never Bite The Hand That Feeds
  • Neon Heart
  • Close As Youll Ever Be
  • (Shes Gonna Do) You In
  • Watch Out For The Normal People
  • Cant Stop
  • Do The Rat
  • Me & Howard Hughes
  • Living In An Island
  • I Can Make It If You Can
  • Dont Believe What You Read
  • Joeys On The Street Again
  • Kicks
  • Rat Trap

Intermission

  • Blind Date
  • Banana Republic
  • House on Fire
  • Dave
  • Drag Me Down
  • Elephants Graveyard (Guilty)
  • He Watches It All
  • A Hold of Me
  • Up All Night
  • Fall Down
  • I Don't Like Mondays
  • Monster Monkeys
  • Passing Through
  • Go Man Go
  • Someones Looking (At You)
  • Rat Trap

Encore

  • DUN LAOGHAIRE
  • Barefootin
  • Rat Trap

Yep, Hurtwood or Cork set, but no Trash Glam Baby biggrin

Dream venue would be Rainbow in London where I first saw them, but as that is no longer operational, Hammersmith Apollo will do biggrin. Vicar Street would be good, but last time I was there they closed the bar after the gig started.  The tent in Cork would be good.

A 3 hour gig with no support would suit me fine. Vicar Street best venue. But Cork Opera House would be OK. The tent as you call it now requires a deceptive hike back to the city, so I'd rather not thanks. Unless Cork City Council decides it would be sound for them to acknowledge those of us less able for hikes.
I'm still VERY salty at a very bad experience after Bruce's gig on Pairc Ui Chaoimh in May this year.

There were buses back to the centre after the Cork v Clare hurling this summer.  I didnt bother as I enjoyed walking back to town with my Clare shirt and hat on!  Up the banner!  Just a shame I couldnt get a ticket for the final.

I havent been inside it, but why not the 3arena in Dublin Docklands?  8,000 fans for the final gig ever could be little ambitious, maybe.

3Arena holds 14,000 with standing. Fully seated is 10,000. If we lived in a country of people with great musical taste then they'd sell it out, but we don't.

Well they have The Stranglers and Roger Daltrey on the same bill at Audley End. Perhaps the others elsewhere

Got 1 for London. Row B. Sitting at a Rats gig feels wrong. I hope they add a couple at Vicar Street.

I suggest you stand up and then everyone behind you will have to as well.  I was in front row at Palladium and stood up but no one behind me did. Probably still cursing me biggrin

It's quite handy to have the seat though when they play the new stuff.

Sitting at Rats concerts should be illegal.
