Jeez, Geldof won't be able to give away tickets soon. Tell you what, if he promises to go on the road and just play tracks from the first two Rats albums (and b-sides), I'll make a special effort to go. Trouble is will Geldof turn up?

This is what came back from Tina .Does "we will get you there" mean paying for flights and hotels? Jules and Reka take note. Maybe lots of us were there , but have lost the tickets! We could get a free holiday on Bob out of this. Probably be staying at the YMCA. What do you fancy folks, Rome or Milan? I have never been to either. Oh drat! September, the Scottish schools are back. I will be working. I think he would be better doing a couple of free shows in the UK and flying Reka over here.

woah! when i spoke to mum about geldof cutting our link to the offic site she said that she was worried bout his mental state and that i should sympathise, i didn't think much of it then, seeing as there wasn't much evidence though i'm sure now she saw more than i did

this feels tragic he was and still is the person i looked upto most in the world.

Thanks Scottie for your warning - I was going to head over to Eddy's site tonight to see if there was any explanation posted re the cancellations.

I'm fairly sure if I'd gone there before reading your post, I would have read the first lines and gone into absolute shock - thinking Bob actually was dead.

FCUK. Something has obviously gone terribly wrong - Eddy has devoted so much time and held Bob in such high esteem. For him to not only pull his site, but to also write what's there, it's clear he's had the heart wrenched out of him.

Re Tina's *incredibly informative* message, who knows what she means ... she's never made herself clear.

BTW, ArrGee - can you put a sock in it?

I have also sent a message down to management, stating exactly what I feel about Eddy's treatment and asking what are they going to do about it. Answer-probably nobody knows, as they are all in a panic just now and waiting for Bob to make the next move. By the way, you can still mail Eddy on info@happyfanclub.it He will answer, but is very depressed. A few messages of support and thanks might go down well just now.

Well I've written to Tina and Ian too. I don't know why everyone is feeling angry with anyone here. I can't I'm too upset for Bob, nothing else really matters. Please leave everything else out.

I wrote to pass on my thoughts about Bob and his music and that I am terribly sorry if he will not play again. I also said how much he and his music has meant to me for 29 years. Let's hope it gets passed on.

I'm not angry I just find the current situation farcical.

I'm not upset for Geldof either. I just believe he needs to get real about his current standing in the world of music. After all, this is a very rich man with a happy family who has a pretty good life right now. I'm more upset for people who buy tickets to see him and gigs are cancelled at the drop of a hat.

I am just angry with him telling Eddy that he did not care about him or his site. That is what he said. Eddy also said to me in a private mail, (but I will put it here because it may help to explain things), that although he had met Bob many times, he never knew the real man till Thursday night. There are always 2 sides to every story, but somethings have been said that have hurt him deeply.

yes my thoughts exactly, there is no point! in getting angry with any one it's just hot air and only causes more trouble to me it's nearly always and has been about his music and how he's feeling i want him to be happy not denying one of the things he lives for!! i think we should atleast try to forget things that have changed for the worse recently. and send our thoughts and our best wishes to bob. i'm only 14 i don't want my experience of this music that has changed my life to end so soon after it started.

It would be interesting to hear both sides of the story wouldn't it? Maybe we could get a clearer idea of what both sides were thinking and a better understanding as to what happened? I have a feeling Bob would keep this closer to his chest than Eddy.

Getting to Milan or a nother concert is not the most expensive part. You can get a plane ticket now for a fey pounds, and there are the yout hostels, but not everyone has time in September.

It wasn't cheap for me by any means, it was the first day of the school holidays so the prices went up. I was lucky to find the fair I did. It could have cost £800 plus! All in all I spent over £300 on this last weekend and all I managed was 20 minutes at the colosseum

not a sniff of Bob and no time to do anything on Sunday as we had to leave for our flight at 7.45 am.

Hi everyone here....

I think all here - including me - are shocked. I have written a few lines to Eddy, something really sad must have happened between both two. We will see if Bob will perform tomorrow in Austria, I hope very much for him and his mental state that everything tomorrow will be fine and OK !! I can understand when he perhaps said things, he did maybe not really want to say, because he was sad and upset.

I hope he - and also Eddy - will get better soon !!
