Just thought you would like to know about a concert that a young guy named Dan Adams thought up! It was called the MakePovertyHistory concert. Dan saw the Live 8 concert and thought it would be a great idea to make a little one here in Australia, Victoria!
Dan is only 19 years old and an amazing person for is age. Dan has been working at the OakTree Foundation. An entirely Youth Run aid organisation, which is driven by young people around Australia seeking to change the world. The Oaktree works on helping Third World countries in a way that is sustainable. I work for the OakTree, and it is great to see all the young people out there who want to change the world, and are already in action doing it!!!
The MakePovertyHistory concert was only an idea, and Dan didnt think it would be that big. But soon Big Stars around Australia decided to get involved! Eskimoe Joe, Evermore, Jet, Hilltop Hoods and many more came to sing. And because Bono was in Australia He decided to come along, and it was such a big suprise and such an amazing night with him there!
The concert was manly focused on opening peoples eyes about what is happening in the world, and how we need to help.
It was a fantastic event, and so amazing to see how many people there are around Australia now, who are more aware, and want to help!
