Not only do I think this guy looks nothing like Bob, but I seem to remember seeing wedding pictures where Paula had a red dress. What do you guys think? Is it a fake?
BTW, I'm not interested in purchasing this item. I'm just curious.
It doesn't look much like him and I think her hair was short when they got married. They actually married in Las Vegas and had another Wedding at his place in Kent. I'm not sure what they were wearing in Vegas but:
I have seen the Vegas photo and Bob wore a top hat and tails. Paula had a flame red dress and veil. Midge Ure wore a kilt. And The"Snowman" Welsh boy, now on Songs of Praise, Aled Jones, sang at the wedding.

Ya, Scottie, you pretty well described the picture Jules posted
But if there was another wedding ceremony in Kent, she possibly wore white then. Are we sure the red dress is from Vegas?
As an asside, I always though the red dress was a bad omen
I am sure he talks about the wedding in "Is That It" Will have to re read that bit. I think Midge Ure talks about it in his autobio as well. Jules, I did not realise you had posted the same pic, sorry. I don't think that is Bob in the photo.
I think that picture is in Kent. He had everyone there in kent. Who was there with them in Vegas? I haven't read Is That It? for a while, but I recently read Paula's autobiog. Whilst Jools Holland reminds us most of it is a pack of lies, she does talk about the wedding in Kent and I think she mentions the red dress. It makes sense that they'd do the top hat and tails thing at home.
Both weddings (Vegas and Kent) were after Is that it? was written. The red dress is at the Kent wedding. I have a small b&w picture of the Vegas wedding, if you're interested I could post it here. Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart were there as witnesses.
Yes, please. I probably have seen a photo, but can't remember it right now. Did they not get married the same year as ITI? As I said it is a long time since I last read it, so I can't think of any reference to their wedding or any photos in it. The book ends at LiveAid, that I do remember.
Sorry, I still haven't worked out how to put a picture in a post
There's a link now in my previous post, that should work.
Actually, you had it quite right the first time. However, some commercial sites forbid you to display pictures outside their site.
To go in the more technical details, every time someone looks at a picture from a site, it uses "bandwidth", and bandwidth costs money. If you just put a link, bandwidth will be used only when someone clicks on your link, and that's acceptable to most. However, if you display the actual image, bandwith is used (at the cost of the website that hosts the picture) every time the page is loaded, so that means much more bandwidth. This practice is generally frowned upon unless you have permission from the owner of the hosting website. Did I put you all to sleep yet?

Yes they did get married in 1986 but it was after he finished Is that it?

...there is no picture shown here...(well...there wasn't...when I went back to double check the link...it was there...I stopped for a moment to check to see if the same phenomenon would be true for recent Pete Briquette photos...I am having difficulty finding any... IN ANY CASE...IT WOULD HAVE BEEN FUNNY IF THERE HAD BEEN NO PICTURE SHOWN...EVEN IN MY SECOND GLANCE AT THE PAGE...
I would have typed.... ...the description says "black and white" photo... ...I wonder who is getting rich sending Gary's fans pieces of white paper with his name written on them...
I don't know if i'm too late for this string but the photo looks like it was taken from the Pink Floyd The Wall movie. I hope no one fell for it!
Good try, but for the wedding scene in The Wall, Pink and his bride are not in the traditional white dress and tux. I think she's wearing a pink dress.
yep, your right its not the wall! anyway the nose is too straight - the chin is too tight and the mouth is wrong. It looks a bit like bill wyman but his wife has black hair (diane is her name - or am i about 100 years out of date!).
