It's a good idea to notify people of this sort of thing, but it might be worth checking if it has already been covered elsewhere with a search and just bump the original post. That said, this one wasn't obvious from the title nor the text in the post, so perfectly reasonable to have a new thread with a more explicit subject.
Thanks for the lead on the video...it's probably okay to have repeats every once in awhile...
Posting the videos under a topic header that says "videos"...will give a nice place for people to start listing the videos they liked best, also...then we can all watch them without having to go over to YOUTUBE to look for them...
Well if the links and other items were put back as stickies then we might be able to see these things at a glance. A large poke in the ribs there. Hope it didn't hurt.
I hadn't seen this on YouTube before. It's the other song The Rats did on the Canadian TV program SCTV. As I said before, SCTV always wrote the songs into skits.
"And Lenin said 'There is no Heaven, so I don't believe in Room 19'" - Bob Geldof
and
"you can find adventure/in someone else's life/or you can criticize/when you need a lift" - Ric Ocasek
Yep, and which seems to confirm the rumours that it was going to be released as a single, but was shelved at the last (rather like The Stranglers "Hanging Around" - you still find people swearing they saw them play it on Top Of The Pops!)
It's just a typical Boomtown Rats' "skit" vid.
(Anyone got any ideas how to "rip" it?
